This update fixes the following issues:
- The changes to an existing PowerPivot data provider cannot be committed.
- When you upgrade the data model in a workbook that's opened from SharePoint, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
We couldn't load the Data Model. This may be because the Data Model in this workbook is damaged. PowerPivot is unable to load the Data Model.
- You cannot load tables in PowerPivot window and receive the following error message if you resize the PowerPivot window from a larger display screen to a smaller display screen:
Unable to load the tables in the PowerPivot window.
- When you try to create a new Pivot Table from the PowerPivot window, you receive the following error message:
Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation
- After you change the size of the PowerPivot windows, the current selection is replaced with table name if semi-select mode is enabled.
- When you try to delete a sheet after you click on Add to Data Model in PowerPivot tab, Excel 2016 freezes and you receive the following error message:
Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.
Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
- After you delete the data connection and then undo the operation, the PowerPivot add-in and Excel 2016 stop working.
Note To fix these issues, you also have to install this update 3203478 together with September 5, 2017, update for Office 2016 (KB3203482).
